Sharpening Workshop Postponed

Hi all! Since the number of participants was too limited to offer this workshop at this time, we will try to reschedule it to some future date if there is sufficient interest in holding it. My apologies to those very few who expressed interest.

About Steve Neil

I live on Vancouver Island on the west coast of Canada and make fine furniture for my family and friends and occasionally for clients. I have a degree in Engineering Physics from Queens University and worked in the telecommunications field for a long time doing hardware and software development. I was always interested in woodworking and so decided to retire early and go back to school to develop my woodworking skills, initially at Rosewood Studio in Ontario and then at Inside Passage School of Fine Cabinetmaking in British Columbia.

  1. Sorry to hear that Tony, maybe the sharpening display at our meeting was sufficient for the majority. The $30 fee may have been too much for the basic skills that can easily be found on the internet but not easily learned.

    1. I think that you are correct, Dave. There are great sharpening videos on the Internet – for free. And…you can watch them in your pyjamas, with a coffee in hand!
