We presently have walnut, cherry, oak, birch, maple and black locust planks. In addition, we have a strong inventory supply of bowl blanks. For this day only, we will be selling these turning blanks at 1/2 price in order to clear them out before they check.
This workshop will provide instruction on shaping and sharpening many lathe tools, including bowl gouges, spindle gouges and scrapers. Several power tool options will be shown, including Tormek, 8" grinder with CBN wheel, and 6" grinders.
This workshop, will feature the following sharpening processes: Overview of sharpening Plane blades and chisels. Hollow grinding plane blades and chisels using either a hand-cranked grinder or an electric low-speed grinder. Sharpening and honing plane blades and chisels using water stones.
