This workshop will show participants how to sharpen card scrapers, and a variety of knives from kitchen knives to carving knives and gouges. It will feature use of power tools for shaping blades, and hand techniques using flat surfaces such as oil and water stones, and sandpaper glued onto plane surfaces. For carving knives, the workshop will go into details on honing techniques to produce fine edges. Participants are invited to bring their knives for tune-ups! (Your chef will appreciate razor sharp tools for carving veggies, instead of crushing them!)
